What’s Included With My Order?
Your order includes the stainless steel water fountain, plus 2 filter cartridges and 2 filter cotton replacements. Free shipping is also included with the current offer.
How Often Do I Replace The Filters?
For best performance, we recommend replacing the main filter every 2–4 weeks, depending on water quality, how many cats use the fountain, and how much debris the filter collects. Check it regularly and replace it sooner if it becomes visibly dirty or water flow decreases.
Is It Easy To Clean?
Yes. The fountain is designed to come apart so the main components can be rinsed and cleaned separately. Regular cleaning helps keep the water fresh and the fountain running properly.
Will My Cat Actually Use It?
Every cat is different, so no fountain can guarantee a particular response. Many cats, however, show a preference for fresh, moving water compared with water that has been sitting still in a bowl.

Real kidneys. Real bloodwork. Real years.

Kidney numbers came down

Vet suggested a fountain when Moose's kidney numbers started creeping up. Six months later his SDMA is actually lower. Cant say for sure it's just this but I'm not taking any chances.

Never another $5k ER bill

Almost 5 grand at the ER when my boy blocked with crystals. Hasn't happened once since we got this running. Worth every penny.

Cried in the parking lot

Vet ran a kidney panel on my girl after 6 months with this fountain. Numbers looked better than he expected for her age. Cried in the car after ngl.

Before You Ask

Frequently asked questions.

Can SettledPaws actually help prevent kidney disease?

Chronic dehydration is one of the top modifiable risk factors for feline CKD. Cats drink significantly more from flowing filtered sources — clinical data shows voluntary intake rises up to 38% versus a static bowl. Consistent daily hydration is the single most impactful thing you can do at home to protect your cat's kidneys.

My cat already has CKD. Will this still help?

Yes. For cats already diagnosed, keeping hydration consistent is the primary at-home intervention almost every vet will recommend. Talk to yours about specific intake targets, but virtually every CKD care plan includes a fountain. Ours is 100% stainless (no plastic leaching into an already-taxed system) and holds two full weeks of water so hydration never slips.

How is this different from a standard plastic fountain?

The entire water-contact surface is food-grade 304 stainless steel. Plastic fountains grow pink biofilm (Serratia marcescens) within days and shed microplastics into your cat's water. Stainless does neither — a meaningful difference for a cat you're trying to protect from renal stress.

How often do I change the filter?

Every 4–6 weeks depending on how many cats use it. Our multi-stage filter (carbon + ion exchange) removes minerals that add to daily kidney load. A 3-pack covers 3–4 months for most single-cat households.

Will the pump keep my cat awake?

No — under 25 decibels, quieter than a refrigerator hum. Silence matters because a cat that avoids a noisy fountain doesn't hydrate, and hydration is the whole point.

What if my cat refuses to drink from it?

Nine out of ten cats adapt within 72 hours. If yours is the exception, our 60-day guarantee means a full refund — no questions, no restocking fee, no return shipping cost.

Kept seeing this recommended on Reddit. After spending thousands on emergency vet care for my previous cats blockage, I now consider a good fountain to be essential preventative care. Really pleased with this purchase.

Best purchase

Look, at the end of the day a $60 fountain is a lot cheaper than the $3000 hospital bill for a urinary blockage. Ive been there. This one has been rock solid for the four months Ive had it and both my boys drink from it constantly.

M
Mason

Bought this for my elderly mother who was struggling to refill her cats water bowl multiple times a day. Now she only has to refill it once a week and her cats are drinking more. Win for everyone.

Vet suggested a stainless fountain specifically. So Im that person who researches everything for weeks before buying. I read approximately a million reviews before settling on this one. Its been about two months and I have zero complaints. Both cats use it, its whisper quiet, cleans up in about 30 seconds, and the water level window is such a nice touch. My picky senior girl even prefers it to the sink faucet which was her previous favorite drinking spot.

Amazing

You can barely hear it running. I keep it in the same room as my work desk and I forget its even on. Pump quality is clearly better than the cheap plastic ones.

Kept seeing this style recommended in every cat forum I lurk in. Finally caved and I get it now. Genuinely better than the plastic fountains in every measurable way.

UPDATE (4 months in): still perfect. No pump issues, water stays clean, cats still using it daily.

Excellent

My previous fountain died and I decided to upgrade. My 17 year old cat has always been a reluctant drinker. Since I got this fountain she visits it several times a day. At her age every extra bit of hydration counts. Grateful for this thing.

really good

Actually looks nice on my counter which I did not expect. The stainless steel matches my kitchen appliances and its not an eyesore like the neon plastic ones. Function AND form. Zero regrets.

Edit: coming back 3 months in to confirm this is still going strong. No issues.

Absolutely worth it

After my last cat passed from kidney failure I promised myself Id do better for my next one. This fountain is a big part of that. Peace of mind is worth a lot.

Great fountain

Cat used to wake me up at 5am scratching at the shower door because she wanted me to turn on the water for her. Ridiculous. Bought this fountain and she has left me alone for two months. Ten stars if I could. 100% worth it.

After a lot of research online I settled on this one. Cant say enough good things. My cats love it. I love it. Its a keeper.

edit- one month in, still love it

Fountain is great and my cats drink way more from it than they did from their bowl. Reason for 4 stars is that the pump has a slight vibration when its low on water. Fine when its topped up.

Buy it

First fountain Ive ever bought. My cats absolutely love this thing. They drink from it, they watch the water, sometimes I catch them just staring at it. It has become entertainment as well as hydration.

Absolute lemon. Pump failed within the first month. When I got it working briefly it made a horrible grinding noise. Save your money.

Love it

Ok I have to leave a review because this fountain has genuinely changed my anxiety levels lol. My previous cat passed from kidney failure and ever since then Ive been paranoid about hydration with my current two. They both drink from this thing constantly, the water stays clean for way longer than the plastic one I had, and its so much easier to clean. Plus it looks really nice in my kitchen which is a bonus. 100% worth it.

Nice fountain, small issues

Very well made fountain and I love the steel construction. Docking one star because the pump did make a strange gurgling noise for the first few days before settling down. Water level was fine, it just needed to work through some air in the system I guess. All good now.

Update: 6 months of use and still no problems. Confirming this thing is built to last.

Really appreciate that this is stainless throughout, not just cosmetic stainless with plastic guts. Worth paying a bit more for the real deal.

My male cat had one episode of urethral obstruction 18 months ago and it was terrifying and expensive. Since then Ive done everything possible to keep him hydrated. Wet food, canned pumpkin, and now this fountain. Hes been symptom free ever since and I plan to keep this fountain running until it dies (which I hope will be many years from now).

Sturdy and quiet

Bought this after weeks of research. Really pleased with the choice. Solid stainless construction, quiet pump, easy to clean, and both cats use it happily.

The silence is the best feature honestly. My previous fountain had this constant hum that drove me insane in a small apartment. This one you literally cannot hear unless you put your ear right up to it. Life changing.

Update: 6 months of use and still no problems. Confirming this thing is built to last.

Really good, some notes

Great fountain, cats love it, easy to clean. Only complaint is that the instruction manual could be clearer, especially around how to properly seat the filter. Took me a couple tries to get it right.

Beautiful and functional

Ordered during a sale, no regrets. You know what sold me? The fact that I can just put the whole basin in the dishwasher. Thats it. Thats the review.
