What’s Included With My Order?
Your order includes the stainless steel water fountain, plus 2 filter cartridges and 2 filter cotton replacements. Free shipping is also included with the current offer.
How Often Do I Replace The Filters?
For best performance, we recommend replacing the main filter every 2–4 weeks, depending on water quality, how many cats use the fountain, and how much debris the filter collects. Check it regularly and replace it sooner if it becomes visibly dirty or water flow decreases.
Is It Easy To Clean?
Yes. The fountain is designed to come apart so the main components can be rinsed and cleaned separately. Regular cleaning helps keep the water fresh and the fountain running properly.
Will My Cat Actually Use It?
Every cat is different, so no fountain can guarantee a particular response. Many cats, however, show a preference for fresh, moving water compared with water that has been sitting still in a bowl.

Kidney numbers came down

Vet suggested a fountain when Moose's kidney numbers started creeping up. Six months later his SDMA is actually lower. Cant say for sure it's just this but I'm not taking any chances.

Never another $5k ER bill

Almost 5 grand at the ER when my boy blocked with crystals. Hasn't happened once since we got this running. Worth every penny.

Cried in the parking lot

Vet ran a kidney panel on my girl after 6 months with this fountain. Numbers looked better than he expected for her age. Cried in the car after ngl.

Before You Ask

Frequently asked questions.

Can SettledPaws actually help prevent kidney disease?

Chronic dehydration is one of the top modifiable risk factors for feline CKD. Cats drink significantly more from flowing filtered sources — clinical data shows voluntary intake rises up to 38% versus a static bowl. Consistent daily hydration is the single most impactful thing you can do at home to protect your cat's kidneys.

My cat already has CKD. Will this still help?

Yes. For cats already diagnosed, keeping hydration consistent is the primary at-home intervention almost every vet will recommend. Talk to yours about specific intake targets, but virtually every CKD care plan includes a fountain. Ours is 100% stainless (no plastic leaching into an already-taxed system) and holds two full weeks of water so hydration never slips.

How is this different from a standard plastic fountain?

The entire water-contact surface is food-grade 304 stainless steel. Plastic fountains grow pink biofilm (Serratia marcescens) within days and shed microplastics into your cat's water. Stainless does neither — a meaningful difference for a cat you're trying to protect from renal stress.

How often do I change the filter?

Every 4–6 weeks depending on how many cats use it. Our multi-stage filter (carbon + ion exchange) removes minerals that add to daily kidney load. A 3-pack covers 3–4 months for most single-cat households.

Will the pump keep my cat awake?

No — under 25 decibels, quieter than a refrigerator hum. Silence matters because a cat that avoids a noisy fountain doesn't hydrate, and hydration is the whole point.

What if my cat refuses to drink from it?

Nine out of ten cats adapt within 72 hours. If yours is the exception, our 60-day guarantee means a full refund — no questions, no restocking fee, no return shipping cost.

We got a second cat in April and our older cat did not handle it well. Lots of hiding, growling and she stopped sleeping in her normal spots. I ordered this mostly because I didn't know what else to change. We plugged it in downstairs where they're together most often. They're definitely not best friends now lol, but the older one is back on the couch with us and doesn't immediately leave whenever the younger cat walks into the room. That's honestly all I was hoping for.

I expected it to work faster based on some of the reviews. Didn't see much the first week. Around week 2 our cat started coming downstairs more when we had people over, which is unusual for her. Not a night and day difference but enough that I'm going to keep using it.

Easy to set up and there's no smell that I can notice. I put it in the room where both cats spend most of the day. Took maybe a week or two before I noticed any difference between them but they seem to be chasing/fighting each other less.

I bought this because our cat had started going right outside the litter box every few days. We had already been to the vet and nothing medical showed up. It's been just over a month now and we've only had one accident since plugging it in. Obviously can't say for sure it's 100% because of the diffuser but I'm ordering refills.

Been using it for about 3 weeks. Archie seems less jumpy and he's been sleeping in the living room again instead of under our bed. So far so good.

Blocked cat mom here. Post-surgery my vet talked to me about long term stress management. This was one of the recommendations. Consistent, easy, my boy has been calm and his urinary habits are back to normal. Just ordered another 4 pack of refills.

Finally something that works

Tried Feliway. Nothing. Tried the calming collars. Nothing. Tried different litters. Nothing. Tried more boxes. Nothing. Tried adopting another cat for company (do NOT recommend). Made it worse. Tried this diffuser. WORKS. Been peeing in the box for a month straight.

Reduced my anxiety as much as his

I was checking the litter box 10 times a day after his cystitis flare. Compulsively. This diffuser somehow calmed both of us down. He's stable, I'm sleeping, our house feels normal again.

For your urinary cat

The FLUTD community on Reddit was where I first heard about pheromone diffusers as part of FIC management. Everyone kept saying it was worth trying. They were right. My guy has had the healthiest 4 months of his life.

Works okay

It helps but doesn't fully solve the issue. My cat has fewer accidents but still has them occasionally. Better than nothing but not the complete solution I was hoping for.

For patient cat parents

This works but you have to be patient. Took nearly 3 weeks for me to see clear changes. Now my cat is consistently calm and using the box. If you're expecting immediate results you'll be disappointed. If you can wait it out it's worth it.

helped my cat adjust after we moved into a new house. she was hiding under the bed for the first week. plugged this in and she was out and exploring by day 4. good stuff

Would spend triple for what this has done

If you've ever watched your cat get catheterized you understand what I'm about to say. Anything I can do to prevent another blockage, I will do. This diffuser is a small monthly cost for peace of mind and it does seem to genuinely calm my cat. Been using since May. No episodes.

Great for cats with urinary sensitivity

Reggie has a sensitive urinary tract and gets flare-ups when we're gone or when there's change in the house. I run this constantly now. It really does seem to buffer him from stress. Fewer flares, calmer demeanor, better appetite.

The peace we needed

The tin foil is gone

I had aluminum foil covering every surface she'd peed on. My living room looked like the inside of a spaceship. This diffuser worked well enough that I've removed all the foil. Everything is back to normal. She uses her box.

For behavioral pee-ers

If your cat is medically cleared and just... peeing places, this might work for you. It worked for me. Been using it for 6 weeks and no accidents. My cat also seems generally less anxious. Wins across the board.

Restored order

My house had descended into chaos. Furniture rearranged for pee protection. Rooms closed off. Strategic aluminum foil placement. This diffuser has restored order. Everything is back to normal placement. My house looks like a house again.

The lesson: try the diffuser first

I tried everything else first. Money and time wasted. Should have started here. If your cat is peeing outside the box and the vet says they're healthy, try a pheromone diffuser. Try this one. It might work for you like it worked for me.

Athena Carter

Vet said stress. Diffuser addresses stress. Cat is healthy. Simple math.

Good for a variety of cat stresses

I use this for general environmental stress. Guests coming over, cleaning, moving furniture, all the things that used to send my cat into hiding. She handles it all much better with this running. Just a chiller cat.

Perfect for cats with a hard past

Rescue cat with abuse in her background. She was terrified of everything for the first year we had her. This diffuser has helped her continue to relax and trust us. She actually purrs now, which she didn't do for the first year.
